Esther is a research technician in the Gaiha lab. She graduated from Colby College with a B.A. in Sociology and Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience. As an undergraduate, she spent her summers engaging in a variety of research, ranging from investigating the role of BYN-1/BYSTIN in cell invasion and migration in C. elegans to studying the genetic diversity and geographic distribution of MRSA. In the Gaiha lab, she is evaluating T cell responses to HIV-1 therapeutic vaccines that are currently undergoing clinical trials. Outside of the lab, Esther likes to devour Asian food (especially Korean), grocery shop, and read.
