Emma is a research technician in the Gaiha lab. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.S. in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics. As an undergraduate, she spent her summers working on various projects at the Ragon Institute, including investigating the molecular interactions between CD8 T cells and antigen-presenting cells. In the Gaiha lab, she is assisting in developing a platform for a more broadly effective Tcell-inducing HIV vaccine and identifying T cell receptors against a variety of pathogens which could be therapeutic targets. Outside of the lab, Emma enjoys running, reading and spending time with her friends and family.
