Charlie is a research technician in the Gaiha lab. He graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University in 2022 with a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology and minors in Mathematics and Data Science. As an undergraduate he studied SARS-CoV-2 sequence evolution in response to therapeutic monoclonal antibody treatment in the lab of Jonathan Li at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In the Gaiha lab, he is interested in characterizing the CD8+ T cell response in HIV post-treatment and elite controllers in order to define immunological correlates of viral control. Outside of the lab, Charlie loves reading, trying new restaurants, learning languages, and traveling.
